Very clean park. The ride up there was nice and quiet. There weren't a lot of winding roads on the ride there but the scenery was nice. It was nice to see horse-drawn wagons. The beach is small, with lots of parking and camping areas and picnic tables. $8 per adult entry.
Overall a nice park. There's a boat launch and talking to someone that was fishing there are good quality smallmouth bass, pike and perch. They say below the dam you can catch brown trout with ease.
Camped here a few times, the area is nice and peaceful during my stay. I would recommend and come back. Good place to get out on the boat and have a good time.
Beautiful conservation area. Quite. For day camping is good.
But, We went for group camping. Camping site was very nice. Beach was far... Need to take car. Beach is not clean, small and all rocks. From group camp ground washroom is far. And there is only one shower ( M/F) place for individual and group campers. Not convenient at all. One time camping is okay. Will not repeat again.
I've made a lot of memories at this park. I haven't been here in a while but the times we have been we do enjoy it😊 the beach isn't the greatest with the water sometimes being a bit gray but as kids we had a lot of fun at that beach😂 the park is split between 2 sides the lake side and the dam side. Both sides have camping and both sides have a playground. The lake side has the beach but both sides have hiking trails. There's lot of space to play soccer, baseball, volleyball, or our favorite prisoners base😁 I do suggest that the park should invest in a pool and bouncy pillow for more people to come for camping, they have the room for it.
Great camping site. My husband and I stayed at The Ash with a 1 shelter tent. Staff are friendly, and the washrooms well maintained. The parks are also well maintained. Ice and wood for fire sold at the entrance. The lake was a nice place to cool off. But can't bring dogs at the beach. Although during the day there were some flies, that was kind of annoying but at least there are not a lot of mosquitoes (thank goodness for that). During night time over the campfire, don't forget to look up at the sky for some star gazing. We saw shooting stars for two of the nights we stayed in... and made wishes (for those young at heart that believes in wishes 😉) We had a great experience. Would visit again!
An excellent day with amazing weather. Nice camping ⛺️ places with decent facilities. Nice lake view and we spent the whole day and every one had fun. It is a perfect place for boating. The management maintain a good condition of the park and all staff were so nice (everyone we met always smile). I recommend it.
Part of my childhood. Grew up really close to this lake and always think of it as home.
Lots of beautiful scenery. It can be a good place to fish. Depending on the time of year can be a bit Murky, so not great for swimming at all times of the year, but all in all the pretty nice spot. Good spot for boating. Surrounded by a farming community Also some small towns close by with a grocery store and other conveniences.
Very quite and calming atmosphere to go camping or just take a day-trip and relax by the lake.
There is lot of parking space.
Some areas are designated for camping sites.
Very clean and beautifully maintained.
Also these place offers boating but it was closed following COVID-19 restrictions. Other than that fishing is also an option to do.
Over all it’s very relaxing experience with calming surrounding.
